A sinker ziptied in the bottom serves the same function as the 2nd ring of stretching the net below the frame. Otherwise the netting floats up above the frame. By the time you drop down another three feet and then up to put frame above netting, stuff happens.

I will be selling the cursed thing as soon as I get down this spring. It is either lucky or cursed..have not decided. It I load it on the cart, I don't need it. If I leave it in the parking lot....I need it - never fails.

When are you coming down Ramz? I am down from the 2-9 of April. If you are there I might just buy it off of you. If not, I'll probably just be hitting up J&M. Need to stop by there anyways. It is a staple of course.
27 April - 13 May for the spring trip...bummer we can't meet up.
30'' double ring net at J&M is 29.50 and the 36'' is $36. The 30'' is the most popular because it is eaiser to handle and does the same thing. They are made for lobster set traps and come with 100' of rope and we cut it down to 40 and tie a float to the end. Any more rope than that can be a true pain in the butt to manage.

eym, like Mr. Wire said, take it to Brunson Net in Foley, on Hwy 98,a mile west of the school on the left. They use shrimp net tailbag materal. The thin polypro they are made with is fine for most fish,but spanish teeth will wear one out after a while.
