Don't know if it's allowed or not, but maybe hanging a cotton laundry bag with some canned cat food off the Pier and leaving it overnight might draw something into the area. When it's the third period and you need to score some points you do what you gotta do, right coach? :D

That fishing Marina is EAST of Ft. Morgan boundry a mile or 1/2 miles or so. Yep, canned animal food with holes punched in the can is used in good times as well.

There's been a few trout caught off the beach recently. I've heard from a pretty reliable source

Thanks PopTop, I think I know where you mean, according to Google there are 2 landings fairly close together, is it the one on the East side or the West side. What kind of beer do you drink? Do you live in Fairhope? Are you over 21?

I think the one Top Pop is referring to is the one where Tacky Jacks is on Ft Morgan Road at 2 Mile Rd. They charge $4 to fish off their docks, it's a 24 permit. Might be worth a shot.

It is the same situation over here as what Big Dawg said. You have to work real hard and cover a lot of ground to find the fish. Just like when I fished Little Lagoon last week. Spent all day in Little Lagoon and covered a lot of territory in a kayak only to come up with a barely legal flounder a piece.

bet they are catching them through the ice up north (Mn) winter is the wrong time for the gulf coast and good fishing ....that's why vacations are during the spring(past years) and now the fall since retirement.....but for me now, back to work might hinder those....got to work on the new to me employer for the time off....hopefully there slack season....might have to take a medical leave of absent due to stress and no fishing (screaming drag)....hate to quit like this past fall job....I kinda like this place right now

I'm just wondering if you have tried fishing in the ICW on Canal Road just a few miles West of J&M. I've never fished there without catching a few hardheads or sailcat on live shrimp. I even get lucky and catch a red, spec, puppy drum and the occasional freak flounder.
