The whole point of fishing on the pier is to make friends and enjoy ourselves while possibly catching some fish in the process. I'm curious if anyone can list one positive thing from this thread - not that that is a necessity for a thread, but this one seems to be about as useless as one other that we had several months ago that really brought the claws out (no, not my rant about kids posting during school hours). Seems to me that all it's done is exactly what a troll seeks to do - stir up chit. I'd say this one has pretty much been milked.

I don't have a dog in this fight but.... It's seems like its just another style of fishing. Should it be dictated how one should fish? I've caught plenty of Kings and lost just as many due to many reasons. If a fish is lost due to unattended gear, the unattended gear issue should be adressed (by the locals/regulars). I've lost fish due to tourists, should we ban the tourists? Again, I haven't fished the pier but for the past few years but this stuff seems like a lot of fuss over nothing. I sure don't see the need to charge people for their preferred style of fishing.

I'll say one thing, I love when these threads come up, it makes some bow up and plea their case on why their style of fishing is "THE STYLE"!! Either way, Im going to fish!

The only scent that disagrees with me is the scent of crap being stirred up that accomplishes nothing.

Am I the only one that thinks this thread should be locked. I think the crap finally hit the fan with that recent post, poking the hornets nest.
