Rod Benders?
Obviously, in the spring and summer months (warmer water) there are chances at a number of big inshore fish species to put up a good fight. Jacks, bull reds, mackerels, sharks, cobia, etc etc, but what about in the winter time? Being from central Mississippi, my fishing trips have always been during summer, but after a few recent (and successful) sheepshead trips to the coast, I've been wondering if there are any bigger fish species that can be had this time of year. I know bull reds can still be caught, and a few shark species hang around even when water temps drop, but I don't know where or how to fish for them this time of year. I've fished everywhere from little lagoon to fort morgan to Perdido pass in the summer, usually with good results....but never in the cold. Any advice on where and how to catch something that can make a drag sing? It doesn't have to be edible...it just has to pull! Thanks!
