Thanks Mike, I had forgotten all about it!
I can't get the link to buy a Alabama fishing license to load. Anyone else have the same problem?
Already done.
No problem here...?
Just renewed mine...no issues with the online portal here.
Dang. Is it that time already?
Finally got through. Most likely it was my raggedy computer. Or, it could've been the raggedy user!
Whoa Nellie stop the cart! what is this registry? First time I have heard about it. Now cut me some slack pls, I had just got back into the pier fishing after a 17+yr hiatus! Would someone talk me thru this? I wil not be fishing there now for about 4-5 months as I am going to Vegas to visit my eldest son and family..actually my yr old grandson and the one to be born in Dec...so if you want to wait and answer in spring fine, but I was going to go ahead and purchase my saltwater lis., and pier pass for the yr...Thank you guys!

Starting January 1, 2011, if you have a saltwater recreational fishing license or registration from any state or U.S. territory EXCEPT Hawaii, Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands, you are AUTOMATICALLY registered and do not need to take further action.
Otherwise, the following questions (at the link below) will help you determine whether you need to register with the National Saltwater Angler Registry.

Over 65 Alabama residents need to do this and there is no charge. Just google the state web site where you can buy the license online and there is a link for the registry and you just fill it out and print it.
and also lifetime license holders have to do this.
Ok that link you posted David just confused me. that's not the same thing I registered for last year. But according to that If you owned or are going to buy a license you are automatically registered and its free. This is a one time thing and I understood last year it was going to be every year. ????????????anyone
Ok the one mike posted is the one I needed to do.
Thanks for the reminder. I also had trouble getting in to register, but it seemed that one of the links to the license purchase page was broken. There are several links at Outdoor Alabama, if you have trouble getting in just keeps trying different links at the site until you find one that works. It would be nice if I remembered which one I finally got to work, but I don't - I'm over 65.
For those who, like me, are over 65 you go in like you were going to buy a license, but when you get to the page where you check what kind of license you want you just check the registry only. There is no charge.
Thanks again for the reminder.
