A few of us will be down this week for a few days of fishing. Thats pretty much taken care of. Just curious where the best place to by fresh seafood to take home (mainly shrimp and maybe some Tuna) might be. I have bought down there before and a few of the places I have been the shrimp have a yellow tint. I assume that is from quick freezing, but not sure. Ant help would be much appreciated.
Dont know about the tuna but we almost always go to billys for shrimp.you can call for prices 251-949-6288.
If I were buying any quantity of seafood, my money would be on Joe Patti's seafood in Pensicola. Most anything you want and cleanest fresh seafood market I've found with prices usually cheaper. The fill you're ice chest with ice and pack for travel at no extra charge. For smaller quantities, Billy's. SafeHarbor, Stewarts or any of the smaller local guys would be good. I like to shop local when I can but you're not likely to find tuna etc. in the local shops. Good eating..
Go down to Bon Secour and get it straight from the source.
Fresh Market on Hwy 59 @ Co Rd 10 has good lookin seafood ;-)
Blaylock Seafoood on Canal Rd. (Hy, 180E) has the fresh stuff---I sometimes get four or five of their jumbo table shrimp so I can have fresh, never frozen, bait. You can cut them up into four or five pieces each for pompano, etc.

Joe patties sells imported seafood mixed with local. Go to Bon secour and you can watch them unload the shrimp and fresh market has the pretties tuna I've seen in awhile
