Thread: star aerial series

I noticed that west marine has a star aerial combo on sale. Does anyone have any experience with or opinions on these rods/reels?

I can't speak for the reels (never even seen one), but the rods are pretty decent. My son's first rod that he picked out and bought himself was a Star Aerial. He caught literally thousands of fish on it for about ten years before I had it rebuilt for him. It is still his favorite rod, though it isn't recognizable as what it was before.
