shark fishing odds

I know that shark fishing is better in the warm summer months. What are the chances of catching any from shore in January and February. I'm just wondering if it is worth targeting them. I would like to catch one and I don't get a chance to get away down here in the summer. I would focus on the Fort Morgan area. I'm assuming if they were around that it would be on the gulf side. Or is the bay a possibility? thanks in advance.

I would highly recommend fishing Pensacola to Navarre in Florida.
Lots of big Duskie sharks and a few others right now.
I would hit the local bait/tackle shops and find some good frozen Bobos for bait.
Fish the tides and stagger baits.

As far as Fort Morgan is concerned, I don't know about this time of year, but in the warmer months we are more likely to hook a shark in the deeper water off the point but fairly close to the bar. Pretty much SW towards Sand Island Light or westerly of that (we fish from a boat).
