IMHO 6# is more than plenty enough.
I like the clear Bass Pro version of Excel.
BTW, the 4# is excellent too ;-)
I opened 2 new Penn SSVII 2500 reels this morning and will need to gill them before hitting the pier tomorrow afternoon.
I’ve always been a believer in finessing the drag as opposed to cranking them in with clothesline. The last 10 years living in Colorado and chasing ‘bows and brownies taught me the value of the lightest line possible and technique over muscle.
