plus 1 on the flogging, where did your friend have it was it just leaning up against the rail or in a pier cart. hope he gets it returned to him. I know fishermen stretch the truth a little bit, but I hate to think someone would steal a reel from a fellow fisherman

Sorry to hear about your friends pole. Tonight I saw a guy who was really looking like he wanted to take my cart. My son also noticed him and told me about it later. I know that most people who are here are honest and friendly but there's always someone to ruin it for everyone else. Just keep a close eye on your tackle and don't leave your poles unattended. I saw many poles at the end with no one around?

Most of us are familiar with each other's crap.
They better not let any of us catch them in the act. It won't be pretty.

Fishing the pier at night is a bit different than during the day. Seems like the cover of darkness brings out the dark side in some people.
When you see sightseer more interested in looking at all the fishing gear than sightseeing, keep an eye on them and your gear.

Come November, there's some really fun and productive fishing in store for the pier fisherman. One of my favorites is the whiting a hard-pulling, great eating fish and when the schools are in, you...
