Hey Snake, here's a pic of one of the traps, they fold down and instead of wire they have a poly netting around them, the frame is metal though. These might not cut it as far as the restrictions go. I do have a collapsible pier net I could still use.

You should be within at least the spirit of the rule with that type trap. You could possibly discard the metal and replace it with wood, fiberglass, plastic or some other material. However, I wouldn't worry too much about it since nobody is making us replace the metal hoops on our pier nets.

Hoping that would kinda be the answer DRH. Don't feel like converting a couple of traps I use for crayfish (or crawfish, crawdads) up here to become legal for a week down there.
