Spent any time fishing Daytona Beach?
The in-laws invited us to stay with them at Daytona Beach in June. I've never fished there. Has anyone here ever had any fishing experience there? I'm looking for all the information I can gather. Fishing spots, lures to use, and fish to target. I'm really in the blind here, and I've got Dad hounding me to find us somewhere to fish.
Any help is much appreciated.
PM me if you don't want to put your spots or info here please.

Daytona is on the east coast of Florida, different then gulf coast
pier and surf might be a better option

Daytona is 480 miles from gulf shores, but I know it has piers. https://www.daytonabeach.com/things-to-do/fishing/pier/
Question for locals: since you already live in heaven, where is left to go for vacation?

Go down to the keys and fish the old Seven Mile Bridge if you don't have a boat. If you have a boat, or can still rent one, the world belongs to you (if you can figure out the tide charts.) Get some marine charts and go crazy. I've caught tarpon off the No Name Key bridge, and the famous No Name Pub is easy walking distance from there---great pizza.
