Surf and Racquet Club - Question
Thinking about booking in the first week of May. Needing some advice on what to bring. It will be me and my 20 yr. old son. Should I bring the canoe to fish the Little Lagoon or should I bring the 17 ft. aluminum bass boat w/60 hp?

I'm a fan of hitting the dock lights at night, so I'd opt for the bass boat.

What do you hit them with? Live free lined shrimp, Gulp Shrimp on a jig head, something else? I've never stayed at the Surf and Racquet Club before. I saw it has boat slips the guest can use. Do the slips have electrical hooks ups so I can charge my trolling battery?

I'm a big fan of paddletail baits, but, sure, live free-lined shrimp or gulp shrimp work, too. I've caught redfish, speckled trout, and flounder on the paddletail baits in recent years. Before that, I had success using curly-tailed plastics.
I don't know about electrical outlets on the dock.

The last time I was there there was outlets in the pavillion and you will need your own extension cord to go from there to your boat. At least 50 feet and a 100 would be better.

Well that might make my decision as to whether to bring the bass boat or the canoe...
Tom, we really enjoyed hearing you two tonight at Post 44. We have heard you before at the Elks Club, but you were in particularly good voice tonight. That was as fine a rendition of "You Were...
