I like the sled idea, guess will have to check Walmart next time I am there to see what their snow sled selection is like.

If it will haul a deer im sure it will haul fishing gear and a cooler with a lil modification
Of course someone has them for sale. Kind of pricey but looks like a great idea. I would find a way to mount the sand spikes and sandflea rake to the backpack.

I've thought about building a box out of 1/4 inch plywood big enough to hold a 5 gallon bucket and mounting it to a Military Alice frame. i generally use my brothers-in-law to haul my gear.
I have an insulated dry bag backpack cooler with external compartments. I usually pack all of my tackle, bait, and drinks in this. It is large enough to hold several fish if I decide to keep any and is easy to clean when finished. I have added a couple of extra straps to it and secure my pvc rod holder tubes to these. Then, I just carry the three or four rods I usually take with me. Makes changing locations a snap and I always have all of my gear with me. I normally fish two set rods in holders and have the other two set-up with jighead and gulp and the other with a pomp jig or Looney jig. Great system for me, but limited in that you cant carry all of the family stuff with you if the wife and kids are going.
