Thanks! It’s been a fun riding
My name is John Giannini. I started fishing the pier in the mid 70’s then Freddy destroyed it and like a lot of people, I was heart broken. When the pier reopened, I was around fourteen and had matured a lot and was back out there, but this time a young man with great mentors and and a couple people I still call friends to this day. If you are reading this or anything else I’ve ever posted, you know I’m not the sharpest knife in the block but I could dang sure build a fishing rod which lead to me dragging the entire family into starting J&M Tackle in 1988. The pier family is who put me in business, so it seems appropriate that I announce it publicly here first, that Mike and I have sold the business. Thanks to all of you who helped me get started in my garage to anyone that ever stepped foot in our store. It’s been a fun forty something years. Thanks

I always thought J&M was the best tackle store, ever, anywhere, and always enjoyed talking to you and getting advice. I never had better customer service than you provided.

Congratulations John! I am proud that the lousy rod-wrapping job I did for you as a kid inspired you to start your incredible business haha! Laurie and I have this retirement gig perfected if you need some pointers. Again, Congratulations to you and your awesome family!

Thanks Tommy, wish I still had that white fenwick you built for me. I broke it on a amberjack jigging a Bomber jig on one of the liberty ships.
