Thanks Ms Tricia Cluck
I did not know your name until today when I say a picture of you with your monster Pompano. I just wanted to say thanks again for the bull minnows you gave me as you were leaving the pier on 29JUL. That was my first afternoon down at the pier on the trip and I had brought only artificials to use. I made good use of your leftover bull minnows and put five flounders on the pier. I kept 3 and returned two that were just below the 12 inch line. You are an example of how nice so many of the people I have met on the pier turn out to be. Good fishing and thanks again. My next trip will be in early October and I am already looking forward to it.

I'm so sorry that I am just now replying! I just saw this article! I'm glad you were able to put my minnows to good use! I hope to see you on the pier again in the future! I also finally got my state record pompano mounted.
I would post a pic but I still am computer illiterate .

I just saw your post and I always heard Better late than never. I just returned home today from a short 3 day trip to the coast. I was staying at Four Seasons with my sister and just fished on that pier for the last two days. The storms have sanded in that pier badly and it has hurt the fishing because the water is so shallow. I still managed to bring home a good number of flounder, some Spanish, blues and slot reds. I will be back down on the 31st for a week and plan to fish the state pier at least one day. I hope you have been enjoying good fishing. The mount of your Record Pompano looks great.
