Thread: Panama City Beach area

I have some friends headed to Panama City this weekend and have never fished the area. Which pier is the best/ closest to try?

I like Dan Russell across from the pier park....the other has better parking but not as friendly people....does have a portable toilet mid way....heard it discribed as professional fishers at that one??

They are about even as far as fishing goes. I like the City Pier better just because the people seem to get along better.

I like both for the most part. I actually got turned off on the city the last couple years due to the high school age kids that act a fool in the afternoons/evenings. I'm a younger man myself, but these young guys are over the top. I've found most everyone on the County to be relatively laid back. I also like the fact the had a portable jon mid pier. Thank goodness the City finally decided to add one as well.

Out of the two Pier's I prefer the county only because of the parking

I prefer the city pier. The regulars at the city have always seemed more friendly than the county.
