27 lb wire about a 17 - 18 inch leader and size 2 treble hooks oh and small spro swivels. and 15 lb momoi hi catch mono. that should do you good. .... if you use the right bait.
very loose drag for me....not a manual fishermen yet .....and when you finally get it to the pier tight drag to make it do what you want it too ....I constantly adjust the drag some....depending on the fish....main thing try not to bring in a green fish.....and I like getting it's head out of the water as soon as possible at the pier....sucking air seems to take the fight out of them....and ready for the gaff....but I am a googan.... soooo .....it works for me :boohoo: :fishing:.....main thing is have fun while doing it all and learn as you go

+1 as long as your having fun nothing else really matters. i seem to recall leaving the pier one day and i had lost a king and choked one it was a bad day all around but i had fun being with friends and fishing is always fun.
