Thread: couple of questions

Is it ok for the public to fish from the end of the rocks on Alabama Point, and how long would it take to walk out there from the road. Where all can you fish in the little Lagoon? I will be down from June the 14th to the 21st, I plan on fishing everyday.

Yea, you can fish the rocks. Time, that depends on how good you are at jumping, climbing, falling, and getting back up.

Little Lagoon has public access on Ft.Morgan Rd, LL Pass, and a few other spots. You can fish anywhere you can get to, as long as you aren't trespassing.

Getting to the end of the rocks on the west side of the pass is a major excursion and an ordeal of rock-hopping with a good chance of falling and doing yourself an injury. You can get out there by following the sea wall from the restaurant parking lot by the bridge, but it's a long way. I did it once, a looooong time ago when I was a lot younger and had no desire to repeat.

I don't know anything much about Little Lagoon fishing, but I'm sure somebody will check in and help you out.

Any one fishing the intercoastal waterway?

Went about half way out once last summer and it took long enough and an effort that made me glad I didn't go to the end. Never really felt like I was in danger of falling as I picked my way pretty carefully. For me personally, the BS factor was WAY too high.

yep for mullet and specks thats it

From the west corner of the parking lot west of the Perdido Pass Bridge it's a 1/4 mile walk down the seawall, then another 1/4 mile walk thru the sand along the jetty to get to the beach, then about 150+ yards 'rock-hopping' to get to the end.
Some days it's worth the effort, and some days you wish you'd overslept ;-)
But it's ALWAYS interesting the fish and the view and the people out there.

BTW, the end of the west jetty is not the only good place to fish from the west jetty ;-)

you forgot reds and sherries but the sheepies only show up in the fall. caught a couple gators too on ye old silver cricket.

Fish the the pass of the little lagoon, when the tide is moving .
