Tues/Wed/Thur
The whiting have been ferocious, set a cut bait rig out yesterday and only was able to land two ramoras, which are cool for the beach walkers who make them famous with their cell phone pics. Cut bait rig today through the evening and never went off. I thought I knew a lot about surf fish, but I have learned a ton watching from the 11th floor. Schools coming through being picked off by dolphins and sharks really don’t seem to be in a hurry, the swimmers also don’t really have a negative affect on them either. I also can’t identify these schools from above as well, but at water level it’s not that much of a problem. I also pitched a Jonah Jig also can be used as a casting lead and only hooked a small flounder got off at my feet, and had quite the interest from I believe were hound fish or some sort of needlefish. Back at it tomorrow. I’ve never taken a day to explore the two access west of me towards Ft Morgan, gonna have to make a day of it Early next week. Any tips on what artificial I should bring please let me know
