Yep, I'm afraid my early April pick is looking better and better---if it weren't for the custom rod, I'd hope it was way late.

i caught some spanish on march 2nd this year just cause there catching a few keychains doesent mean anything still i hope your right.. IMHO i dont think well catch a king till april....smh
I just hope it is a better catching year, then the last one....no matter when it starts, just hope once it does.... it continues , so I can read great catching reports and dreaming I was there http://www.gulfcoastfishingconnectio...dreamBeach.gif http://www.gulfcoastfishingconnectio...sc/fishing.gif catching that http://www.gulfcoastfishingconnectio...wasTHISbig.gif and please when they start http://www.gulfcoastfishingconnectio...otographer.gif Please share
Another way to consider this is 'with the math'.
When looking at the buoy data check out the "previous 24 hour observations table"
and calculate the average temperature either by median or mean...

If I had to assign ONE number to describe the water temp I would simply tell folks "it's about 63 degrees." ;-)
Hope this helps!
Not supposed to cool down in lower 60's until Monday
I read our local watering hole is open water now.... so time to dig out the boat and freeze my buns off, even if it's nice and warm out that 35-36 degree water sure makes you cold when it's all around you. add a little wind....but that is when the big'uns bite....ice-out
Whadup? (or rather down ;-)
Water temp has slipped back a couple of degrees (86 avg to 84 avg)...
