I catered a shark picnic on my last trip to the pier losing my steel leaders and treble hooks on each bite. Seems like I saw where someone said they use circle hooks for kings, if those work well enough, what size do I need to use?
Thanks,
David

It seems to me, that if the sharks are out in force, hook type isn't going to do jack once they feed on your bait.
Circle is going to hook the shark just as easily as the king... Heck, circles are what I use for sharking.
Reason for asking is that decent size treble hooks are hard to find, either they are out if them or you only get 5 per box
Buy or order them from J&M, http://www.jmtackle.com/
I've always found them in-stock.
I think I use the 4x Treble. John has the small and large boxes of them.
png is right, j and m has all the hooks you could ever need. ususlly get a pack of 50 and never less than 25 at a time.
the cicle hook was in a thread about spanish. makes sense because of how the circles work
Walmarts near the coast carry Eagle Claw 4x strong treble hooks in both size 2 and 4. They are in packs of twenty and are pretty inexpensive.
I think Brunson net and supply carries big trebles
I fish circles a good bit... 4/0 I think... Will jar to check the packaging
