What's the best line for cobia?

Question, being a northerner, I don't know a lot about Saltwater fish, is just 25 or 30 LB line good or are you using a wire leader too ?

For cobia, a wire leader is not necessary. In fact, it might hinder getting a bite because sometimes cobia can be leader shy and wire is pretty visible in the water. A good choice for a leader is 60 or 80 lb. fluorocarbon. I tend to err on the side of caution and use 80, especially the pink Yo-Zuri fluorocarbon. If you hook a big one and fight him for a while you'll be glad you have the 80 lb. 60 is good, though, too.

if you want mono, then i'd get 30lb Ande Backcountry, that stuff is strong, a month ago i wench in a 45lb flat-head with it, (the 80lb mono leader broke before it did lol)

I like 30-50 lb braid with a 40-60 lb floor leader... But keep in mind with braid you need some kind of shock absorber(rod with softer action but still plenty of ass is what I like)
