So in the interest of getting some life going on this board what is your standard load for your cart , how did you come to it and what and why did other things didn't work for you , Also what do you target or are you a anything fishermen .
So let's kick the can around some .
i use two coolers one good size and one smaller one one for my fish to ride home in and one for drinks and things to eat i stay away from the yeti type cooler there just to heavy to load in and out of my truck and my fishing bag one chair for my lady and in the winter a net during the summer there lots of net on pier already
I quit carrying a big cooler years ago when James moved to Florence and I never keep fish anyway. I won of the smaller Yeti coolers couple years ago in My Company Bass fishing tournament and usually bring it with enough food and drinks to last me the day. Tackle box is pretty much the same every trip and quit taking all the big rods for Kings since sharks have been so bad for the last 5-6 years. Mainly fish for Spanish and give them away or have to throw them back if I give away my limit of 15.
My cart has way to much, some things never get used.... but are rigged and ready if certain fish swim by, depending on spring or fall and wind conditions ..... gorilla locking 3 rod holder, home made bait bucket holder, removable bat tube(for kings) folding chair or canopy chair , added a flag pole this past fall more rod holders then needed( 15) :D most of the time, cooler with 2 cat littler buckets inside one for stuff the other for gallon ice jug and fish fillets & tackle bag, pier net, 3- 3 gal buckets and gaff, cutting board

I'm not sure the computer has enough storage for me to list all the impedimentia I haul down the pier. I carry far too much "just in case" stuff---stuff I never use, but someday, when the stars align and the wind is just right, I'll have it if I need it---of course it will be rusty or rotten by then and will fall apart when I try and tie it on.
Anyhow, I start with a 50 qt. Igloo cooler with three frozen 2 liter bottles and whatever food and drink for the day, also a contractors bag in which to put fish that I caught or begged. (Some less than charitable individuals might observe my corpulent magnificence and say that I must carry a much larger cooler for food. I say, "Faugh" to you, sir. I have the ability to gain weight just off the smell of a fried chicken wing. It's a gift.) Added to this are two tackle bags for lures and, er, tackle. I use bungee cords to hold my live bait bucket on top of the cooler. There is one of those little bait board thingies with the basket and another tackle box bolted on it with the whole apparatus fitting in a rod holder. I'm way behind Ironman on rod holders, but the ones I do have contain the famous Haywire flag, the aforementioned bait board thing and all the rods I'm legally allowed to carry. (Snicker.) Stuck in the crevices between tackle bags and ice chest are various zip close bags containing different size ribbon rigs, tubes to make Spanish rigs, bubbles, last week's sandwich crusts, my special pier first aid and hook removal kit, and other things that are not immediately identifiable but may be coming to life. During sheepshead season, there are nearly always a couple of fiddler crabs living in the detritus and feeding off the shrimp and LY carcasses left and dried from the previous summer. There are knives for various tasks and one special blade for anybody who wants to borrow a knife---I wouldn't use it myself.
Hanging off the back, on a custom made hook, is my pier net and live bait basket and wedged next to my rods is my folding chair and rod holders to attach to the rail. Dangling from the pull handle is my small bucket and rope for getting fresh Gulf water for the bait bucket. My Ironman gaff hangs from the bait board rig. I sometimes include a fish cleaning board if the tables have been particularly nasty lately. This summer, I'm thinking about getting a harness and a whip and teaching the cats to pull it---they'd fit right in, eating the abandoned LYs on the deck and hissing at potential thieves and miscreants.
Geez, and here I was assuming the great Mr Haywire would have all the accessories of Rodney Dangerfield's golf bag in Caddyshack. Surely somewhere among the live shrimp and fiddler crabs are those nipple dangler things. But I digress, now I can model my cart after the best (or worse) ideas mentioned in this post. So thanks to each of you for ideas, photos, etc.
Regarding the Dangerfield golf bag, I'm now wondering how I can convert my golf pull cart with a good sized cooler affixed like a backpack.
