Wind
Wind out of the south blows the bait in the fishes mouth, out of the north don't venture forth, out of the west fishing is best, out of the east fish bite the least. Does that old saying hold true in salt wart as well as fresh water?

The wind is your friend....but sometimes it is a bit too friendly. East wind is generally favorable on the Gulf, seems like. Southeast especially so. But this year......who knows.
