Surprise Catch
Went out last Friday on a charter to troll for kings and do some bottom fishing. While dropping a squid down to try too catch a snapper, I got a big surprise when this bad boy hit and took off! It was caught on a knocker rig with a bottom fishing outfit. Liked to have killed me getting it in. We were only 6 miles out too. It was about 7 1/2 feet long.

Nice, very nice... C&R, or did you kill it?

Catch and release. Beautiful thing. God was gracious enough to allow me the experience. That was enough.

this is the time of year for the sails to move in with the warmer cleaner water, it is very usual for the Panama city piers to catch them from now through Ocotober I have seen quite a few from the pier over there and caught fish

This Thanksgiving, I'm thankful for an abundant fishery and a magnificent pier, from which to access that fishery. I'm thankful for the morning view of the sunrise and what a spectacular view it is...
Happy Thanksgiving!
