Anyone have one of the larger beach carts with balloon tires they want to sell ?
Threirs a place over on the toll road can't remember the name I think they sell pumps anyway its on the east side up from the toll booth. Welcome on good luck
Om thanks. I'll give them a try
I've saw them on display out in front of the business. I stopped and had a look. Looked like good built in the USA I think
As best my memory serves, it is about a mile south of the HY 98 intersection. The business itself is up on a hill on the east side of the highway and is where they display their carts, but you have to travel a couple of hundred yards south to get to its access road.
Six or seven miles north of the toll booth. Don't know the name of the business. I keep saying I need to stop and see what they have to offer but it seems like I'm always on some sort of mission every time I pass by.
Haywire you are a gentleman and a scholar. I was looking last time down but not going North far enough. I get by there in a couple of weeks.
Could this be it?

That looks to be the place. If it is an industrial supply company, then that's the place.
GCIS Supply 11746 Foley Beach Express About a half a mile to a mile south of Hwy 98 up on the hill on your left going south 251-943-7587 Nice people I bought my cart there with the big gray Wheel Eez tires As cheap as you can order the carts for Have all sizes and accessories liners bucket holders etc
You nailed it chillin. The cart used to sit out front on display at the building on the left. I did here they don't handle them anymore but don't know if it is true or not. Last week when I went past there the display cart was gone.
Was wondering if the people from out of state that only come down for a short trip would be interested in renting a cart if they were available ? Would be interested as to what everyone thinks about seeing if the pier would get some rental carts. What is a reasonable price people would be willing to pay for a days rental ?
That could be a good deal for the pier and those needing one if the price was right.
The cart rental idea came up a few years ago and then when J&M offered up a great rental deal; no takers. Below is John's 2013 post about ending the offer.
Here is a link to that thread:

I remember the Pensacola pier renting out carts, twelve or fifteen years ago. The cost wasn't much, somewhere between the cost of beer at the shack and an adult fishing pass. The carts weren't in great shape, due to the obvious of renting as well as sitting around empty on the pier deck most of the time. An investment in a cart rental business doesn't seem to be profitable to me.
Ill go by there in the next couple of days and let everybody know if they still carry them or not.
Good idea Drownin' Bair. Passed there this morning and no cart out on display today.
I found them online and they still sell the carts and accessories. About the same prices as J&M on the large cart last time I checked. They may be higher now. The large cart with the wheel eze tires was $420.00. After cleaning out my drawers I decided against buying one.
I bought my cart from J & M and then bought the Wheel Eze tires and axle from those folks, pricey but worth it if you fish from the beach.
I was up that way yesterday and they still had the two carts on the rack by the highway as usual.
I looked there before I bought mine at J & M. The carts at J & M had bigger tires and more rod holders for the same price.
Just happened to be looking for a cart/wagon with balloon tires in Nashville today. Nothing with big enough tires. Don't need it for fishing but hauling all the needed stuff with the twin grand kids. Hate to pay $400 for something I would use 2 or 3 weeks out of the year. Transporting would be another problem. If anyone knows where you could rent one OR if a bought one, a kind soul who would let me store it at there house locally. Would trade off letting someone use it for storage fees. IF I could buy one at J&M and leave it there I would let them rent it out and they could keep the rental.
I've got an extra cart. Tell me what you think about this deal. You buy the wheel-Eze kit for it and I'll store it/use it when you're not in town and when you're in town it's all yours. Sound fair? My name is Chad. Text me if you're interested. 251-689-8105
J&M has the large cart with orange balloon tires for $299.99. There is a guy on the pier tonight that has one and says it does great on the sand. That's only about $50 more than what I paid for the cart with regular tires.
You can buy an axle and tire kit from J&M for $139.00, they are the orange tires. I bought the kit and it works fine through the sand
