Thread: Genuine rebuildable parts reels, Penn and Shimano:

Shimano Spheros 4000FA complete reel, still working but drive gear(s) should be replaced. Rubber handle missing small inside sleeve, doesn't secure to handle. A-R is sketchy.

Shimano Spheros 6000FA minus handle, side cap, and small logo plate on bottom right. Rotor spins freely in-hand but reel clicks/jumps when cranked. May have wrong bearing(s) inside, drive gear(s) likely need replacing. A-R lever stuck as engaged.

Penn 450ss (USA) missing handle (has knuckle and ring), questionable bail spring. Spool is nice but body has decent amount of A-R is hit & miss.


Penn 4300ss graphite, missing handle and line indicator ring. Cosmetics good, small crack in drag knob. A-R actually works.
