King/ Cobia Rod
Im just starting to try out rod building and i think i might get into it a lot more. Just wondering yall's opinion on the best king/cobia rod blanks and also things like plate type vs standard reel seat and guide sizes.

There are many different blanks to choose from and the particular blank can depend on the style that they angler prefers. The plate reelseat is mainly a personal preference.

If you are fishing for both then use mono, 20-25lb, my personal guide preference on guides for that size mono is 70 and 50 wire frames and 30, 25, 20 Fujis, and a size 16 tip, these large guides will help cast better with that size line.
I figure it this way, if everyone in the world had a lie clock, whose hands moved once every time they lied. You could use any politicians lie clock as a ceiling fan.
