Going to start culling the rod rack . Bought this 8/9 years ago and never used it . Did take it to the beach once but it stayed in the house .

Honestly, I am not sure Tom. But your speculation has merit as recent rains would have brought an influx of nutrients into eastern LL and a subsequent increase in macroscopic life feeding on that...
Rain/Red minnows shortage this...
