Penn reels
I've got 2 battle 5000s ones a battle 2 the other a 1. And a slammer III 3000. All full of braid. The slammer is brand new the others slightly used w power handles

Honestly, I am not sure Tom. But your speculation has merit as recent rains would have brought an influx of nutrients into eastern LL and a subsequent increase in macroscopic life feeding on that...
Rain/Red minnows shortage this...
