WTB pier net
Looking for a pier net, around 30” diameter. willing to trade or buy. I will be down May 9-19 if anyone has an extra
Good times, Good friends, Great Beer. You can buy all three - But it's always better to invest the time to make your own.

2v8mji9.jpgLooks like photo loading problem, anyway a DIY is a way to make what you want. 30" net from Academy Sports, 10" ring from Hobby Lobby, rest from Home Depot.

The easy solution is Academy, 30" pier net is $10, need to add rope and some weight. They also carry a 36" for $25, it has a rope but still needs some weight. Better solution is just stop by J&M.
To please the wife I put the net inside a 50 gallon trash bag before putting it in the back seat. It's good to keep the wife happy! FYI not all 50 gallon bags will fit a 36" net.

The photo in the link is my net. The comments with the photo list what I did to it. A ring of lead wire in the bottom helps open the net in wind/current. Works great from the pier.

What is the diameter of the Academy net? 36 or 30 inches?

The green net is 30", the black net with yellow rope is 36".
The other option is a DYI using a garden hose for the top ring. Fill the hose with sand for weight.
uses an old Frabill model made like this. The benefit is it fits into a 5 gallon bucket.
It all depends on how much DYI you want to do.
