Bayou Ice Box seal
I have a Bayou Ice Box, the Yeti knock offs they sell out of Bayou La Batre, I believe they're made in Korea. Anyway, they have a flat rubber flap like seal in their lid that is not air or liquid tight anymore. Has anyone had to replace their seal in any of these "Yeti" style coolers? I want a seal that is more like the tube like seal on say a deep freezer. Just wondering what ideas y'all might have on this. It's a helluva cooler that works well and is super tough, just want to improve on the ice longevity. By the way if anyone is looking for a cooler these Bayou's are half the price of Yeti's and just as tough.

I think I bought a soft foam 1/4 inch thick by 1 inch wide seal with sticky back at Lowes to seal up the lid on my bait tank. I have also used it on the lids on my old bass boat.

Seals on ice chests main purpose is to get you to buy one. There is no air movement, plus the fact that heat rises and cold drops means that your seal does essentially nothing to hold ice any longer.
