I am looking for the best multipurpose (king and cobia) rod blank. Any suggestions?
What length? Reel? And line type/size?
8-9ft reel not sure but definetly spinning. Mono 20-30lbs test

That's a very broad selection ... I'd say a t90L
T90l or seeker ps90
There's no such thing as a great blank for both. For kings you need a light tip for casting baits without flinging them off and for cobia you need a much heavier action for driving a 9/0 hook and lots of power to control the fish at the gaff.

Apparently you have never hooked a decent sized ling from the pier. That rod doesn't have enough ass to stop one from swimming between the pilings.
So what would be the best king rod blank?

like I said, negatives to both of them, alittle stiff for king baits, but not stiff enough for a ling over bout 20lb

depends on your personal likes and dislikes, I myself prefer slow-action noodle rods, John said he likes fast-action rods with soft tips, there are basicly those two preferences, is you like slow-action rods, gator BS596, lamiglass GLB961M, and CUI F1F-081 are my personal favorites, if you like fast-action rods, batson SWB80ML and SWB80L, seeker CLB804 and CLB806B are pretty good ones
