I don't know about the blank but I like the 7'9" length for traveling. I wishing my 8 was a 7'9" and my 8.5 was a 8'3". That little bit of difference would make life easier for me.
I have an LB 706 (almost 20 years old) and it has slayed many a king.
It casts even a small bait yet has PLENTY of 'backbone'.
Sometimes though I wish it were a bit longer though, so trimming a few inches off the butt sounds good to me ;-)
stay in one with 9ft ceilings.... http://www.gulfcoastfishingconnectio...isc/giggle.gif
I have been collecting several 2pc lately, for the future trips without the van....my luck, a move might happen and I won't need 2pc
The blank is a good blank. I'm building one now for someone and I may have to get one for myself.
