heat gun....and a brush....that's the way I am painting my butterfly jigs so far(I really like the sapphire blue on the tops(backs) of the butterfly jigs....so I painted mine with that)....waited for the bride to go to bed to bake them in the oven though....wanted to do them at the cabin we have....... and hardly ever use that oven....but time is running out...

Re: a couple gaff's completed
The pepto pink will definatley work, not to mention it will match the cast net I am having built.
Re: a couple gaff's completed
I'm doing a simple butt wrap on the shank of mine Jeb.
Re: a couple gaff's completed
If I could find a way to get my drying motor to spin one I would be all over it. I think I am gonna track down a pepto bismol label and then try and clear coat it on.

Thanks jigslinger (Rob) and Wahoo16 for the kind words....
I can only hope to put some fresh blood on both gaff's, I know the king will get used.....but sure hope the ling gaff will be needed....would love to gaff another one this year for some lucky fisherman or 1 with good eyes....but then they may not want a googan to be on the gaff....
I haven't lost one yet....and this gaff is a whole lot better then the old one....I think anyway.....a few more days, and then the looooooong drive down :boohoo:
Re: a couple gaff's completed
Ohhh, I wish I had caught this in time! I'd loved hi yellow or auburn colors.
