I have some old mitchell 302's and 402's. On one of the rougher 402's I would like to restore and drill spool and polish body. Was wondering if anyone on here has done that before? If so can I get the specs for spacing.

You mean the spool and rotor right? Can't imagine anyone drilling the body. I've done a fair bit of modding and restoring but no drilling.
Just spool and rotor. I meant to say polish the body. I have crosswind cam, penn upgrade drag, and the no port side plate, and bocca bearings.
Here is an example of what I would like to do along with adding manual pickup and a power knob.

If you want to make it stronger and more balanced you could double gear it- but that does add a few ounces. That cut out rotor looks sharp. Might have to do that myself.
