Thread: Ghost Shrimp Rigging

New to surf fishing but the bug has bitten me. How does everyone prefer to rig their ghost shrimp? Hooked multiple times and run through the body, curl the hook all the way through them (U shaping them) or what? Thanks everyone!!

Any of those ways work.
They will stay on the hook better in long casts or in rough water if you thread them onto the hook.
You can just rund the hook up through the body but I prefer to thread them on similar to how this guy does...



But if I am sight fishing close to the pier I often like to tail hook them or just put the hook through the thorax so they lay out straight.

That's hilarious. A few weeks a woman watched me unhook a sheepshead and put it in my cooler out on the octi. She asked me if they suffocated to death and how long it took them to die. I wanted to tell her they all died of Ebola but I didn't want to hurt her feelings.

A couple years ago, I got reported to Ranger Randy for cruelty when I smacked a King in the head with my aluminum bat.
Randy said he told the lady that it was much quicker than suffocating on the deck!
