Home-made Sabiki

If you go through a lot of sabikis (they usually last about 1 trip for me), make your own:
Buy a box of #10 gold bream hooks. BassPro has them $3.50 for a box of 50. J&M might have them, don't know.
Get an 2' section of 8# line, tie a loop at the top.
Then thread 4 hooks onto the line, just take the hook with the point up and pass the line through the hooks eye, one after another. Then tie a loop in the bottom of the line.
Then take each hook and about 4" apart, tie a small loop, with a hook in each loop.
Put bell sinker on the bottom loop.
Instant sabiki that cost you about 20 cents to make.

Good advice!

I'll also add that some folks have issues with the dropper loops for their hooks getting open too much, leading to more tangles. One way to combat that is to put a simple overhand knot in the middle of the loop that the hook is on. That helps to "cinch" the loop closed, and might actually help with pushing the hooks out & away from the main line. If I'm not mistaken, I've seen some of the store-bought rigs with that extra knot on each of the loops as well.
