    Need advice

I'm wanting to change the hooks on my x-raps and can't decide on what size the trebles are I throw the 12 and 14 long cast x-raps. I'm wanting to change the color of one of my reels, the main color is black but it has red on it too. I'm wanting to go all black. Any advice or help will be appreciated.

I tried #2 permasteel hooks by vmc on my #12 long cast. Honestly I thought it negatively affected the action and castability and put the originals back on. Either way I never caught a fish on the ones I have. Yet. (white ghost and sardine colors) When you are throwing into one of those howling south winds they keep you in the game. But part of the attraction of x raps is the pause/suspend. The weighted versions take that away. Even the slow retrieve goes deep. Others may have different experience. That said, the regular 14 model has 2/0 trebles according to the rapala website.

I had to order the vmc permasteel trebles off the internet. Won't post where from out of respect to the great folks at J&M....but I live a long way from Orange Beach. Unfortunately.
