New pier/beach cart build

Finally got the new cart finished yesterday. Has 10 rod holders and homemade beach wheels. Has castering front wheels in pier configuration that rotate up and out of the sand in beach configuration. At 46" long and 29" wide, it's pretty big (probably too big), but it comes apart in three pieces to lay flat in the Suburban.

My son and I are heading down to GS this morning and will hit the pier this afternoon. If you see some guys with a too big cart, it's probably us. Please stop and say hello. Looking forward to seeing and meeting folks.

Looks like a touch of ez2cdave tech being utilized.

Are those inner tubes for tires? If so, the splinters on the deck boards on the pier are going to puncture them. Better have some patches and a bicycle pump handy.

They are indeed inner tubes, but they are supposed to be self-sealing with Slime inside. They worked fine on the pier today for the maiden voyage, but you may be right. Time will tell if they are durable enough for the pier. Haven't tried them on sand yet.

Good job on the cart. Now let's see some fish photo's. That's what the cart was built for.

Tires are from Lowe's. It's the only place I could find the self-sealing ones. BTW, the wheels did great on the sand, although it was kind of a pain to lift the front part of the cart because we had it so loaded down.
