how do you turn off anti-reverse/ clicker in 706z
ive heard of people doing it but i have no clue how and i never use the anti-reverse and i don't like the clicker

Trip the lever behind the crank handle. You're going to want to have anti-reverse from time to time, but I understand not wanting it on all the time.

On a 706 the clicker turns on and off along with the A-R. I don't like hearing the noise either and can fish without A-R without much trouble most of the time. There are times however, that having A-R is a huge advantage. Passing you rod around a light pole or another obstacle is an example of one of those times. Fish with your A-R turned off but don't do anything to permanently remove it.
