Tater gun bait launcher
Hey guys, Just thinking about this tater gun type bait launcher that I have been hearing about. I fish at the Outer Banks some and I know they are not allowed there. Can anybody tell me if they are allowed on the Alabama Coast for surf fishing??? Thanks

Why, a yak is easier, more fun and no legalities.
Heck just toss it on or over the bar, if you can't, then you need to either work on your casting or get a longer rod.Ragnar Benson:

I built a stainless steel one . It works good but a pain to lug around. Like chilli I prefer the yak or a zodiac boat for long drops.

The one I made is loud. We've been using it for dam fishing. Had to run it by lake patrol before we started

I have been curious about what Alabama law has to say about these. I was quite the spud gun engineer in my youth, but I now know that my state could consider it to be a "destructive device".

This Thanksgiving, I'm thankful for an abundant fishery and a magnificent pier, from which to access that fishery. I'm thankful for the morning view of the sunrise and what a spectacular view it is...
Happy Thanksgiving!
