Very Important Question On King Rod Building NEED HELP
I have this very good old Fenwick rod blank. It is about 7 and a half to 8 foot and it is a two piece. Yea i know right, two piece but i would like to make it a one piece because it has very good action and strength, it could fling a cig a mile of the octagon. So do any of you guys know any suggestions on how to lock tight and seal this rod to a one piece i will take all the help i can get.

Why....2 piece function good ??
Re: Very Important Question On King Rod Building NEED HELP
I think one piece rods are better they r less likely to break
Re: Very Important Question On King Rod Building NEED HELP
I have a two piece and fish it harder than most people fish a one piece. The only way to make it a one piece would be to glue it together with slow cure epoxy, then reinforce the outside with a thread wrap.
Re: Very Important Question On King Rod Building NEED HELP
I would just leave it like it is. The two piece glass rod I have is over 20 years old, no sign of breakage and I have definately not babied it.
Plus the blank was designed to be 2 piece, if you glue it, it might change its flexibility and action.
Re: Very Important Question On King Rod Building NEED HELP
You are doing the right thing by making it a one piece being it's an old S-glass blank and do what Jeb said. Before we get into details,is it tip over butt or tip into butt?
