No but the M1 super 90 is the finest auto shotgun ever made.
Never handled an M2, I've owned a Super Black Eagle for the better part of a decade and it's the bee's knees when hunting ducks or geese. I haven't had any issues whatsoever with it and cannot remember a jam/failure to eject. I've beat the tar out of that gun and it hasn't failed to deliver. Some complained about the finish quality of the metal on the first generation guns (which mine is), I consider it to be fine-no rust or corrosion and I buy my guns as tools to actually use-not safe queens. The camo finish still looks good after all these years.
love my sbe....never handled a M2..... but I am sure it is just as nice
sold my benelli competition to a friend not long ago that was a real sweet gun, just to darn pretty to think about taking it to the woods ,and I quit shooting trap and skeet ....so no need
.
Owned a SBE 3.5". Duck/Goose killing machine. Fine handling but w/ 3.5" shells it just plain hurt. Unless you intend to shoot lots of geese, I'd stick with the 3" and save the money. Been shooting big bores for a long time and never had anything kick my ass like those 3.5" #2s -- unless it was a Ruger 7mm I shot one time. Dang shoulder hurt for 3 days.
Thanks for all the opinions. I have been planing to start shooting a 12G for a while and just just got a great deal on an M2.:)
You'll be trying out the new M2 soon, I know you'll love it! :D:D
I've shot a Berretta 390 since 2003, I love it, never have had a single problem with it.
Wal-Mart and Dick's sells them, plain jane black synthetic.
3", 1 1/4 oz #3s is my standard duck load, they pattern great with a modified choke.
Unless shooting snow geese or big Canada's, I don't see the need for 3.5".
after always shooting 2-3/4 shells, I tried some 3in turkey....no way I want to try any 3-1/2 after that ....I can do fine with the right choke and 2-3/4 shells http://www.gulfcoastfishingconnectio...isc/giggle.gif
I shot 2 boxes of 3.5" hunting snow geese in El Campo, TX one morning back in 2002. My shoulder was black & blue. I'll stick with 2 3/4 or 3" thank you!
