Anna's first deer
My ten year old daughter's first deer. Shot with a 7mm-08. Maybe she can kill her first king, this spring.

7mm-08. Best youth calibre made IMHO. Not a bad adult load.
Fish. Just fish.

Nice shot. It look as if she dropped the bullet right in that doe's engine room.

I'm pretty sure, that I have a hunting partner for the next few years. The funny thing about it is, she is a vegetarian. She can kill it, but not eat it.

Re: Anna's first deer
Congratulations to her on the kill. She did it well and obviously had a good teacher. That caliber has become my choice for the past three years---how dead can you kill a deer?

This Thanksgiving, I'm thankful for an abundant fishery and a magnificent pier, from which to access that fishery. I'm thankful for the morning view of the sunrise and what a spectacular view it is...
Happy Thanksgiving!
