Culinary and geographical conundrum...

I don't mean to pick on them at all and I understand it's a price point deal but how on earth did we get to a place where we import shrimp that is basically raised in an antibiotic infused cesspool and sell it on the shore of a body of water that produces some of the best shrimp to be found?
It seems absurd that a state run facility that should be promoting locally grown or produced goods could let it happen. I saw this yesterday and decided to just ignore it but couldn't. If nothing else there should be signage in any food service place displaying country of origin. Sorry, my rant for the month-but no human should eat the seafood from indo china, India or Pakistan. If consumers had any idea how it is handled they would agree.
