Forget homework; the dog ate my minivan!
I have had some strange things happen in my time, but this one sure tops the charts.
Take a look at the Fox 10 story in the link below, and witness the sheer power of a dog after my cats.
There should be a recap on Channel 10 News at 9p.m.
I sure hope no one has an unfortunate encounter with the beast responsible.

Bummer, I feel your pain; had a similar thing happen back in ’97.
My son came home for Christmas and brought his young Golden Retriever with him.
We never figured out what he was after, but he bit holes in the front bumper cover of my wife’s BMW from one side to the other. I let my son break the news to his mom.

8) That is just NUTZ! ???
Cats & dogs are forever :slap: :guns: :violent
but that looks like like something out of a sci-fi movie.
Hope all works out OK for you folks!
Did Opie come down out of the tree yet?
Re: Forget homework; the dog ate my minivan!
Opie is still caught in the tree.
Poor guy is afraid of heights and won't even jump on a counter. Fire chief tried, but he went even higher.
News is coming back this morning for a follow up on Opie.
That's my son's pure bred flame-point Siamese cat. The cat is actually quite popular amongst dog show enthusiasts and has a following. We hope he gets down somehow.

:(
Sorry to hear that. Hope he'll come down soon!
He's gotta be getting thirsty and hungry and wet. (at least it hasn't been too terribly cold)
Here's some alternative suggestions to gently coax him down (nice talk & tempt with food).

If the cat refuses to come down even then, using a ladder is probably the best next solution to help the cat down on its own power. Place the ladder against the tree near the cat's location, and allow it to climb down by itself -- climbing up to rescue a cat most likely would just frighten it more, possibly prompting the cat to climb even further up into the tree.

Please keep us posted as to Opie's status.
Re: Forget homework; the dog ate my minivan!
That's some crazy stuff. I couldn't get that link to work but found it here: http://www.fox10tv.com/dpp/news/loca...eaten-by-a-dog
Good luck with Opie. Keep some pepper spray handy, it'll stop an angry dog faster than a gun. You know there are some freakishly large coyotes out here too. There's a few down here in fort morgan that have killed peoples dogs and cats at night if they were left out.
Re: Forget homework; the dog ate my minivan!
Now that's one way to get rid of your unwanted cat, beat the grill up and chase the cat up the tree then call Foley PD!
