Lets say there is a king feeding frenzy happening at the pier. You walk out to an already crowded rail and set a two rod trolley rig in the middle of the action and prop down in a lounge chair next to the rail. This would qualify you as a googan.

So what is the term for a tourist down fishing on the pier?

Well I get called a lot of things when I'm on the pier. Most of them four letter words but occasionally two and three word phrases. Seriously the locals just call us tourists.

Just curious, because I am from Foley and try to come down every year. Just want to see if I classify as a tourist or a semi tourist. lol

I would think you qualify as local. Spend enough time there and they brand you a regular.

I dont think so being I live in Georgia now.....
