Thread: State Park Road closed today, Thursday 5/20/21 7 am - 7 pm

We are resurfacing part of State Park Road (formerly known as Hwy. 135). A road closure has been scheduled for Thursday, May 20, 2021 from 7:00 AM through 7:00 PM.

Renovations to Lake Shelby Picnic area are almost complete. Our next step is to repave the entrance to Lake Shelby Picnic Area. The repaving will include the entrance of the picnic area and a portion of State Park Road from the light at Hwy. 182 north past the dog park.

State Park Road will be closed from 7:00am to 7:00 pm on May 20, 2021. Barricades will be placed at two locations – State Park Road (past Woodside Restaurant) and the easternmost point of the road (near the intersection at Beach Blvd). Visitors will still be able to enjoy a delicious meal at Woodside Restaurant and access the trails. As an alternate route to using State Park Road as a shortcut, please take Hwy 59 to East Beach Blvd. during the closure.

Yep it was closed today also supposed to open back up at 11.
